Caritas of Waco is a non-profit charity organization founded in 1967 by the Austin Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, but has been an independent ecumenical agency since 1979. We offer food, clothing, household items, and travel assistance to anyone, regardless of race, age, sex, ethnicity or location.
We also offer case management services to assist and empower clients to become self-sufficient. We operate 2 Hidden Treasures resale stores – on Bosque Boulevard and Bellmead Drive. Caritas is supported through various faith, civic and service organizations, charitable foundations, area businesses and individuals.

The Advocacy Center provides hope and healing to all survivors of sexual assault and violent crimes through 3 areas: The Victims Center, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and Education and Prevention.
Creative Waco is the nonprofit arts agency for Waco and McLennan County. We champion local artists, produce cultural events, and grow the creative economy to make arts and culture a driving force for community.
Christian Women’s Job Corps of McLennan County offers free GED classes and free career building classes. CWJC brings a holistic approach with life-building education paired alongside 1:1 mentoring and tutoring for women over the age of 18 in McLennan County.
CWJC welcomes volunteers as teachers, mentors, tutors, office help, and classroom assistance. CWJC is a donor-driven 501c3 that has been in operation since 2003.

Lions Club seeks to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. Hewitt Lions support scholarships and provide opportunities for youth with diabetes, mental and physical challenges to attend a camp—at no expense to their family—at the Texas Lions Camp.

Isaiah 117 House provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.
