This past weekend, Waco Sports & Social Club celebrated the opening of their new lot in downtown Waco (421 S 11th Street) with games, pumpkin painting, and more. This new lot hopes to serve the greater Waco community by providing a place for adults to find community via sports and social events such as kickball, soccer, or holiday parties.

The opening weekend kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday and open-play kickball on Friday! On Saturday, there was grass volleyball and spikeball games followed by an afternoon of cornhole with food trucks and drinks. On Sunday, there were multiple family games to partake in for Family Field Day! Activities ranged from face painting to pumpkin art to a water balloon fight. The weekend ended with an intimate worship night. As owners Josh and Arianna Dulany said at the beginning of the worship night, their hope for this lot is that it is a place of community and friendship where people have fun and feel loved.

Waco is a growing place with diverse and varied needs to be met. Waco Sports and Social Club wants to be a place where people can find their community and enjoy activities together. This new lot allows a location to reach Waco! To learn more about joining a league and getting involved, check out their website! Waco Sports and Social Club: Where Waco Plays and Finds Community!
