Homestead Exemption

Hewitt offers a 20% homestead exemption, which is the largest in the area. The tax rate for FY 14-15 is .539677 per $100 of taxable value. To homeowners with the 20% homestead exemption the tax is effectively $0.431 per $100 of taxable value.

Over 65 & Disabled Exemption

In addition to the 20% homestead exemption, Hewitt offers a $4,000 property value exemption to people that are over 65 or disabled.

Disabled Veterans Exemption
